What is Oligo Glucosamine?
Oligo Glucosamine is also called chitosan oligosaccharide, it is an oligosaccharide which around 2 to 8 glucosamine are chained. Oligo Glucosamine is the material which are recently paid attention to the improvement of adjuvanticity and the liver function by the natural killer cell activity.
Manufacturing method
To manufacture Oligo Glucosamine generally, shells of crustacean, such as crabs and shrimps, are used as the starting materials. After the shells are deproteinized in a diluted sodium hydroxide solution, decalcium in a diluted hydrochloric acid to produce chitin. Oligo Glucosamine is produced from hydrolysis of the chitin by an enzyme.
What is Oligo-N-acetylglucosamine?
Oligo-N-acetylglucosamine is called also chitin oligosaccharide, it is an oligosaccharide which around 1 to 6 N-acetylglucosamine are chained. Having high degree of polymerization of Oligo-N-acetylglucosamine, anti-tumor activity is recognized, and intenstinal probiotics function is also recently expected.
Manufacturing method
To manufacture Oligo-N-acetylglucosamine, shells of crustacean, such as crabs and shrimps, are used as the starting materials. After the shells are deproteinized in a diluted sodium hydroxide solution, decalcium in a diluted hydrochloric acid to produce chitin. The chitin is dissolved by concentrated hydrochloric acid and Oligo-N-acetylglucosamine is produced by low temperature hydrolysis.
Storage
Avoid direct exposure to sun light, high temperature and humidity.
